Penguins and Cocoa

Penguins by the fire

The holidays are upon us, and we are usually so busy that we don’t have time to enjoy them. After baking and decorating these cute cookies I want you to sit down by the fireplace, and enjoy your hard work with a nice cup of hot cocoa. Stop and take in the season. Look at the beautifully decorated Christmas tree that you worked so hard on decorating. Love it! Enjoy it!

I found a pretty easy recipe to make these penguin cookies. Bonus, you can make snowmen the same way! Use two different size round cookie cutters. Size will depend on how big or small you want your cookies to be. After baking decorate with royal icing. The cookies and cocoa shown here are What Next – Wintertime Cocoa & Cookies.

Sweetopia has a great recipe for The Perfect Peanut Butter Cut Out Cookie. If you don’t want to make peanut butter cookies you can do any type. Her article has great tips on how to keep the shape of the cookie. Definitely go take a look for step by step instructions.

15 Years

15th Rezday

I have been a resident of Second Life for 15 years as of October 23, 2018. Pretty much rezzed in world every day of those 15 years. Of course, there are days when I haven’t. We all get burned out. But I have never been away for too long. Friendships have come and faded. Never gone.

My Second Life career started right away making jewelry. Caroline’s Jewelry closed early 2014, I believe. Fortunately, a few designers then let me have fun and blog for them. My true love of late has been the incredible food creations. I tend to shop Dust Bunny and Apple Fall when looking for food. Not too real, but not fake looking edibles. I like pairing them up with a recipe to try. So this is what I enjoy to do for now.

I am wearing Truth Hair – Oksana, my outfit is Zenith at Collabor88, Cae – Trinket Necklace, and the pose is An Lar Poses – Queenie. Most of the food on the table is Apple Fall – Autumn Treats. I tried to include my favorite designers in the picture, but I LOVE so many!! So you will find Dust Bunny, What Next, Tres Blah, and Half-Deer.

Onto dessert!! This cake was made for Second Life’s 15th Birthday! The recipe that I have paired with this is Spiced Peaches and Cream Cake. After following the recipe you can decorate the cake with blueberries for added color.
